Dublin Athletic Board Graded Track and Field Programme 2017 News Items

The Dublin Graded Meetings series of eight meetings gets underway on Wednesday April 26th. at Morton Stadium. Offering a comprehensive range of track and field events in what is arguably the most popular and best supported competition in the country.

Athletes from newcomers to international level are catered for in the various grades and is ideal for those distance runners seeking refuge from road races and looking to experiment with track racing. The introduction of a Grade "C" category in women's middle and long distance races will be attractive to those looking to venture onto the track for the first time.

An innovation this year will be a Mixed Relay consisting of four legs over distances  800m x400x 800m x 400m each team consisting of two women and two men.. The venues will be Morton, Tallaght and Irishtown Stadiums.

The highly successful Dublin Graded Meetings will include clinics incorporated into two Long Jump competitions on April 26th. and July 7th. both at Morton Stadium.

The organisers are delighted to have acquired the assistance of National  Jumps Coach David Murphy who will be on hand to  help athletes identify technical difficulties with their jumping.

This is an opportunity for athletes over 16 to benefit from coaching assistance in a competition environment . Their coaches could also benefit from their attendance. It is open to athletes from clubs all over the country.
