Senior Juvenile/Junior Cross Country Fixtures 2023

Tallaght 5k Road Race & Dublin Novice 5k Road Championships, Friday 17th March 2023 at 10.00

This year's Tallaght 5k Road Race takes place on Friday 17th March 2023 at 10.00. Entries are now open on Popup Races website at https://www.popupraces.ie/race/tallaght-ac-5k-2023/. The race incorporates the Dublin Novice 5k Road Race Championships 2023. Dublin Championships medals are to be awarded to the first three Novice men and women from Dublin Clubs and the first 3 teams (4 to score). Clubs must declare their Novice teams at the registration desk before the race, using the attached Notice. Dublin Championships medals will be presented at the finish of the race.

Windmill Garristown 10k Road Race & Dublin Mens 10k Championships, Sunday 12th March 2023 at 10.00

This years Windmill Garristown 10 k road race on Sunday 12th March 2023 at 10.00 incorporates the Dublin Men's 10k Championships 2023. Registered Dublin athletes and Clubs are encouraged to enter this race on an even faster course that that run in 2022. You can enter today on the Eventsmaster website at https://eventmaster.ie/event/5GDACQvsEz. Dublin Championships medals are to be awarded in the usual Senior and Masters Categories Teams as set out below. A free tee shirt is also available to the first 400 who register. 

 

Dublin men’s 10k road race championships 2023 – Rules

  • Senior/Masters Individual Medals 1st, 2nd, 3rd Senior medals to be presented to the first 3 Dublin Club runners home. This maybe a finisher from a master’s category e.g., an M35 or M40 runner. The masters’ individual medals then go to the 2nd, 3rd and 4th place finishers from that category.
  • Masters Categories: M35, M40, M45, M50, M55, M60 and M65
  • Senior and Masters Teams(M35 and M50+) 1st, 2nd and 3rd - minimum of 4 to score.
  • Athletes to declare what team they are on when registering. e.g.  Masters or Senior e.g. If a Club team has only 3 senior finishers and two masters running, they may combine all to give one senior team score.
  • Only registered athletes from Dublin athletics clubs can compete.
  • Full list of those registered for Dublin men’s 10k road championships will be made made available to the timing services and they can work out the Dublin Championships results from this list
  • A Dublin Board official will be available on race day for medal presentation, if available, and to agree or make decisions on any results, if they come up.
  • 10k championship runners to go from the gun time and all participants will be up to the front.

Dublin Intermediate Cross Country Championships, Tymon Park North, Sunday 11th December 2022 - Entries now closed - Participants list posted.

Online entries for the Dublin Intermediate Cross Country Championships in Tymon Park North on Sunday 11th December are now closed. The participants list has been posted on the Myrunresults website at https://www.myrunresults.com/events/dublin_intermediate_xc_championships/4659/participants. Names can be changed up to race start. Please contact Ronan Wogan to do so.

The programme will start with the last of the Juvenile Cross Country leagues at 11.00. The programme and course maps are attached below.

Participants should avoid parking at the Basketball Arena carpark and use the official one for Tymon Park North. Alternatively you can use the carpark at Tymon Park, Wellington Lane entrace (Beside Faughs GAA Club and up from the Spawell Roundabout). A 5 minutes walk will take you to all race starts.

Dublin U19, Junior and Senior Cross Country Championships, 6th Nov. 2022, City West - Final Participants list

The final participants list for sunday's Cross Country races are published on the Myrunresults website at https://www.myrunresults.com/events/dublin_u19,_junior__senior_xc_champs/4438/participants. Any errors and omissions must be notified to Ronan before race start at the Myrunresults tent on the Citywest cross cross country course.

Dublin Senior and Junior Cross Country Championships 2022, Sunday 6th November 2022 - Online entries to close Thursday 3rd Nov.

Online entries are now open for this year's Dublin Senior and Junior Cross Country Championships, on Sunday 6th November, on the Myrunresults website at https://www.myrunresults.com/events/dublin_juvenile_uneven_age_junior__senior_cross_country_championships/4438/details. Clubs should enter all their runners (Juniors and Seniors) as individuals and they will be put into their correct race  based on their DoB. The first 4 home for a Club will be put on their their team as they finish. Clubs may enter as many members as they wish. The venue is beside the Citywest Hotel near the Citywest Leisure Club. Further details on the races are on the attached Notices and maps. Many thanks to Tallaght AC for hosting this event.

The juvenile programme of races will begin at 10.00 with the Under 9s. The programme and registration system for Juveniles was sent to Club secretaries separately. The Under 19 Boys and Girls will run with their corresponding Junior (Under 20) races. Further details:

Entries for juveniles close this Friday the 28th of October. NO LATE ENTRIES
All clubs MUST provide named officials with their entries (1:15 entries).
U19 girls 3 to score for team medals.
Please abide by and respect the instructions given by the voluntary stewards on the day and only park in designated car parking areas. A list of officials and duties will be circulated and all officials should be present at their appointed time to be briefed.
Please note, there is a little over an hour gap between the U9/U11 contests and the remaining contests starting with the U13 girls. The objective is to free up car park spaces in the designated areas after these contests are concluded. Please do not arrive any earlier than required to familiarise your athletes with the course and warm up.
Please keep the site clean and clear of rubbish.

Dublin Novice Cross Country Championships, Tymon Park North, Sunday 9th October 2022 - Final Information

This year's Dublin Novice Cross Country Championships are being held in Tymon Park North (beside Basketball Arena) on Sunday 9th October 2022. The Novice entries are now closed. Please see the participation list on the Myrunresults website at   https://www.myrunresults.com/events/dublin_novice_xc_championship/4599/participants. Changes can be made up to race start time at the registration tent near the start.

The first 4 home from a Club score on the Club team. The event is being held in conjunction with the second juvenile cross country league. The meeting starts at 11.00 and is being kindly hosted by Sportsworld Running Club. Additional Information on the Novice race times and eligibility criteria are in the attached notice.

Please note that the Basketball Arena carpark is not available for parking on 9th October. Car users should use the official Tymon Park North Carpark or the one near the Spawell Complex/Faughs GAA Club. Both are 5 minutes walk from the venue. Maps of the carpark options, timetable and course routes for each race are attached.

Rathfarnham 5k, incorporating the Dublin 5K Road Race Championships 2022

The Rathfarnham 5k Road race is on 25th September at 10.00. The race incorporates the first running of the Dublin 5k Road Race Championships 2022. Medals are to be awarded in the usual Senior and Masters categories. Team prizes will be awarded at Senior (M/F), Masters (M/F 35+ and 50+ ). Entries for this event are open on the Rathfarnham 5k website at www.rathfarnham5krun.ie. Dublin Club athletes can enter through the AI Members route and they will be automatically added to their Club team for the championships. Dublin 10 Mile Road Race Championships, 20th August 2022

The Irish Life Frank Duffy 10 Mile road race, incorporating the Dublin 10 mile road race championships, takes place on Saturday 20th August in Phoenix Park. Entries for this race will close on 5th August. Runners who have entered for a Dublin Club at race registration, will also be eligible for the Dublin championships. Medals will be awarded to the first three home from Dublin clubs and for the usual masters’ categories (M/F35+ to M/F65+). Team medals will also be awarded for senior and masters’ (35+ and 50+ teams). Four to score on all teams except F50+ which is three. Team captains must ensure their runners who enter the Dublin Championships, start from the first wave of runners so as to give all teams an equal chance.

Dublin 5k Novice Road Race Championships 2022

This years Dublin 5k Novice Road Race Championships takes place in conjunction with the Tallaght 5k Road Race on Sunday 24th July at 10.00. Novice athletes can enter the 5k in the normal way through the PopUP Races website at Tallaght 5k 2022. Athletes must tick the Novice Box on the online form to ensure they are considered a Novice for results tabulation. In addition Club Captains must fill in and sign the attached form, declaring their athletes are Novice runners. Please give it in at the Registration desk before the race. Medals will be awarded to the first three Novice athletes home in the mens and womens races and for the first three teams (4 to score).

To qualify as a road Novice, participants must not have won an Individual Gold or Team Gold in a Senior Road Race championship before.
