Dublin Juvenile T&F Championships and Relays timetables 13 June 2023

Please find attached the Timetable for Day 5 in Tallaght on Saturday the 17th of June. Unfortunately, due to the huge number of entries received, it will be a long day, especially for our core group of officials who give of their time in a voluntary capacity at each and every competition, and who deserve the greatest of respect. However, the timetable can change if we can manage to reduce the number of heats, or/and the time taken for each heat.

Clubs can help in this by,
1. Athletes presenting in a timely manner when called to their event, coaches/parents should make sure their athlete (s) are present when called to assembly/check-in
2. Making us aware in advance of any athletes who are not competing. In this regard, I would be grateful if clubs could let me know by Thursday at the latest, of any athlete who is not competing on Saturday.
3. The support of volunteer officials from each and every club to assist on the competition day, clubs MUST provide officials. Please send the names of your officials to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. as soon as possible for Day 5 and for the Relays in Lucan on Wednesday and Friday evenings.

Parking

TALLAGHT
Cars can park in St Mary's primary school - entrance to the right, before the entrance gate to Tallaght A.C/Westpark GYM & Leisure Centre
If the car park is full, parking may be found on Airton Road, but please advise your members of the following,

NOT to park on cycle paths or footpaths opposite or in the vicinity of the club, as the Gardai will issue a fine. The school car park closes at 20:00.

We do not have permission to use the Astro Park or Tallaght College car parks on the day.  On the day of the most recent competition held in Tallaght several cars were parked without permission in these car parks which closed at 17:00, resulting in a number of cars being locked.

Lucan  - Please find attached parking details for Lucan, and programme of events for Even Ages (Wednesday 14th), Uneven Ages (Friday 16th)

Please note, the order of events can change on competition day, and events can be earlier than the scheduled time, so please advise your athletes to be present 1hr before their scheduled time, but not earlier as car parking could be an issue at both venues.

Regards
Cecil

Dublin Womens 10k Road Race Championships 2023 - Posponed

It is with regret that the Dublin Board has to postpone the running of the Dublin Women's 10k Road Race Championships, which was scheduled to be run with the Women's Mini Marathon on Sunday 04 June. We will look at alternative dates/races at our next Board meeting in June. We apologise to all the women who had intended to run in the Championships and wish them well in the race in any event.
