Dublin Graded Meeting No. 4, UCD, 03 June 2023 - Updated Programme and Grand Prix Points Schedule

Please see attached the draft timetable for Graded Meeting No. 4 at U|C|D trasck on 03 June 2023. The points schedule and leading finishers in The Grand Prix after three Graded Meetings are also attached. At the UCD Meeting we have Dublin Championships events for the men's 10,000m and the womens 5,000m. All Clubs are encouraged to send members to these events. In addition Championships will also be held for the 100m, 400m and Javelin. Online entries for this meeting will be open on Athletics Ireland Entry for Sport shortly. Scroll down to Meeting No. 825

Dublin Graded Meeting No. 3, Lucan track, Wednesday 24th May 2023

Please see attached the amended timetable for graded meeting No 3 at Lucan track on Wednesday 24th May 2023. The 800m is a Dublin Championships event, where medals will be awarded to the first 3 from Dublin Clubs. The fastest times will apply over all races. There is free parking available at Lucan Track but in the event of overflow there is ample extra parking at the nearby Supervalue Centre.

Dublin Juvenile T&F Championships 2023 - Cecil Johnston

Entries are now open for Day 1 (programme attached) of the Dublin Juvenile T&F Championships. Club competition secretaries or parents of athletes can submit entries online through athleticsireland@entry4sport.com (competition 798) using their username and password. Please be advised, a payment MUST be made to complete the entry/entries. The remaining events for U16-U19 events will take place on DSD track over the course of the weekend of the 9th/10th/11th June, programme timetable will be circulated soon, and the remaining events for all other age groups will take place in Tallaght and Lucan, dates/timetable will also be circulated soon. A link/competition number to the online entry portal for all other competition days will soon be live online.

Dublin Graded meeting No 2, 10 May 2023, Tallaght Track - Entries Now Closed

Entries are now closed for the second Dublin Graced meeting in Tallaght on Wednesday 10th May 2023. The 1,500m and the High Jump are Dublin Championships events and medals will be presented to the first three men and women from Dublin Clubs in each event. The 1,500m medals will be awarded based on time if there is more than one Grade A race. There will also be 4X100m relay for men and women at Junior and at Under 23 levels. The updated programme is attaached.

Dublin Graded Meeting No. 1, UCD Track, Saturday 29th April 2023 - Updated timetable

Entries are now closed for the Dublin Graded Meeting No. 1 which takes place  on the new UCD track on Saturday 29th April. Paced miles at the first Graded Meeting on 29th April 2023, UCD CampusTrack

Dublin Athletics are delighted to host a series of 𝑷𝒂𝒄𝒆𝒅 𝑴𝒊𝒍𝒆𝒔 in conjunction with our first Graded Meeting at UCD Campus track on April 29th. These miles are designed for AAI registered athletes 16+ from beginners to novice; those participating in parkruns, Meet & Train events or just out running or jogging with their club mates.

𝑯𝒐𝒘 𝒅𝒐𝒆𝒔 𝒊𝒕 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒌?
There will be five runs on April 29th starting at 12pm.
👉 12.00 - Running at 10 mins per mile pace
👉 12.15 - Running at 9 mins per mile pace
👉 12.30 - Running at 8 mins per mile pace
👉 12.45 - Running at 7 mins per mile pace
👉 13.00 - Running at 6 mins per mile pace
𝑷𝒊𝒄𝒌 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒈𝒆𝒕!
𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒕... 🙌🏻
To help you achieve your target mile; each run will be led by an experienced athlete; running at that exact target pace e.g. 10 minute mile, 9 minute mile etc. Everyone running will receive an accurate time.

The Hammer event will be a Dublin Championship event at the UCD  Meeting on 29th April. Dublin Championships Medals can be won by Dublin affiliated athletes in the event and other great prizes can be won. Dublin Athletics Graded Meetings 2023 - Final Programme

Dublin Athletics Graded Meetings - 𝘼𝙧𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙮?
 
This year's Graded Track & Field meetings begin on the UCD track on Saturday 29th April 2023.  The full 2023 programme is attached below. The online entry system will be open a few days before the first meeting. Our Graded Meetings for 2023 have been recorgnised by World Athletics as a category F event. This means that any standards set will be recognised by World Athlics for achieving ranking points and for achieving qualification standards for international events.
 
All clubs taking part are asked to supply at least two volunteers to help run the meetings.
 
𝙃𝙤𝙬 𝙙𝙤 the 𝙂𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙙 𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙚𝙨 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠❓ 
Simply decide which event you want to enter e.g. 100m Women.
Decide which Time you can achieve e.g. 13.3 seconds implies Grade C.
Grade A means you can run in a time of 12.5 seconds or better.
Grade B means you can run in a time of 13.0 seconds or better.
Grade C means you can run in a time of 13.5 seconds or better.
Grade D is for all others.
If you run faster than 13 seconds but more than 12:50, then next time you enter, you will be in Grade B.
✅ For each competition and race the programme will clearly have the grades published.
𝙃𝙤𝙬 𝙙𝙤 𝙁𝙞𝙚𝙡𝙙 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠❓ 
To ensure good quality competition a minimum number of athletes must be present.
Each throwing athlete will have 6 attempts.
Horizontal jumpers will get 6 attempts.
Vertical jumpers will compete as normal.

Day 4 & 5 Dublin Juvenile Indoor Championships 2023 Programme

Please find attached the Timetable for Field Events scheduled for Day 4 - Saturday 25th February and please note the standards we had to set due to the high number of entries.
 
Entry lists for Day 4 & 5 (relays) are available on live.dublinathletics.com. Please advise us as soon as possible if any of your individual entries or teams are missing, specifically, only entries submitted on the online Entry4sport portal before the entries closed on Friday last the 16th of February. ONLY QUERIES FOR ENTRIES SUBMITTED ON OR BEFORE THE 12th WILL BE CONSIDERED, NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED.
 
IMPORTANT REMINDERS
 
BIB Numbers. 
  • Athletes who competed on Sunday the 12th of February and who are competing again in individual events on DAY 4 MUST be reminded to bring their BIB number.
  • Club officials who collected bib numbers on the 12th  and who are responsible for issuing numbers to their athletes should also be reminded to bring the envelope with any numbers remaining for their athletes competing on Day 4. The name of the person responsible should be made known to the athletes. 
OFFICIALS
Please send me the names of your club officials today as we need to assign duties. 
Officials should be present and check in at least 1hr prior to the start of their duty and should remain until it is finished. 
 
Competition
Please note, on recent competition days, undue delays were caused when athletes failed to be present in the assembly/call room area at the designated time. It is vital that athletes for track events be in the assembly/call room at the designated time, failure to do so could lead to the elimination of the athlete/team from the competition. 
 
Field event athletes should report to their event 20 minutes in advance of their start time.
 
RELAYS
BIB numbers will be issued for Relay teams and these MUST be worn by the last runner.
 
Clubs with more than 1 team in any age group MUST provide sticky labels with A, B, C to each athlete to place on their vests.
 
 ONLY athletes and coaches who are wearing authorised wristbands should be present in the warm up area at the designated time, as per the track timetables circulated yesterday. Coaches MUST sign for the wristband at the entrance door, as we MUST be aware of the names of all adults present in the competition area.
 
Athletes, spectators and coaches should respect the direction. advice and decisions of our voluntary officials at all times.

Tallaght 5k Road Race & Dublin Novice 5k Road Championships, Friday 17th March 2023 at 10.00

This year's Tallaght 5k Road Race takes place on Friday 17th March 2023 at 10.00. Entries are now open on Popup Races website at https://www.popupraces.ie/race/tallaght-ac-5k-2023/. The race incorporates the Dublin Novice 5k Road Race Championships 2023. Dublin Championships medals are to be awarded to the first three Novice men and women from Dublin Clubs and the first 3 teams (4 to score). Clubs must declare their Novice teams at the registration desk before the race, using the attached Notice. Dublin Championships medals will be presented at the finish of the race.

Windmill Garristown 10k Road Race & Dublin Mens 10k Championships, Sunday 12th March 2023 at 10.00

This years Windmill Garristown 10 k road race on Sunday 12th March 2023 at 10.00 incorporates the Dublin Men's 10k Championships 2023. Registered Dublin athletes and Clubs are encouraged to enter this race on an even faster course that that run in 2022. You can enter today on the Eventsmaster website at https://eventmaster.ie/event/5GDACQvsEz. Dublin Championships medals are to be awarded in the usual Senior and Masters Categories Teams as set out below. A free tee shirt is also available to the first 400 who register. 

 

Dublin men’s 10k road race championships 2023 – Rules

  • Senior/Masters Individual Medals 1st, 2nd, 3rd Senior medals to be presented to the first 3 Dublin Club runners home. This maybe a finisher from a master’s category e.g., an M35 or M40 runner. The masters’ individual medals then go to the 2nd, 3rd and 4th place finishers from that category.
  • Masters Categories: M35, M40, M45, M50, M55, M60 and M65
  • Senior and Masters Teams(M35 and M50+) 1st, 2nd and 3rd - minimum of 4 to score.
  • Athletes to declare what team they are on when registering. e.g.  Masters or Senior e.g. If a Club team has only 3 senior finishers and two masters running, they may combine all to give one senior team score.
  • Only registered athletes from Dublin athletics clubs can compete.
  • Full list of those registered for Dublin men’s 10k road championships will be made made available to the timing services and they can work out the Dublin Championships results from this list
  • A Dublin Board official will be available on race day for medal presentation, if available, and to agree or make decisions on any results, if they come up.
  • 10k championship runners to go from the gun time and all participants will be up to the front.
