The conditions may have been more like cross country weather than the sun and warmth of summertime but we had some fine performances across a wide range of events. We had athletes from Donegal to Wexford and all places in between.

Catherine McManus got proceedings underway clocking 12.13 into a gusting head wind. Stephen Gaffney had a following wind of +2.1 as he clocked 10.67 ahead of Leo Morgan's 10.89. in one of the 100m races where Gerard O'Donnell forsook the hurdles to run 10.93 in another.

Sophie Becker won the 400m in 54.79 ahead of Catherine McManus who was back on track after her 100m victory clocking 56.84 in a battle with Nicole Walsh one hundredth behind her.

Running on the outside Cillin Greene of GCH clocked 49.08 in his seasonal debut at the distance.

In the women's 1500 Barbara Cleary tried to run away from everyone in the "A" race but the more measured approach of DSD's Meghan Ryan saw her win in 4.40.14.

Cian Kelly of St.Abban's won the first of the men 1500 races in 4.00.54 with Patrick Macganhann of DSD the fastest in the second "A" race in 4,03,63 ahead of Sean Donohoe of DCH clocking 4.05.93. 

Michaela Walsh had a best of 58.43 to win the Women's Hammer, with Sean Mockler the best of the male throwers with a 67.30.
